How do you add an exit game button for the NES30's? They are setup in Keyboard mode so the following code was not working for me. I tried replacing the 8 and 9 with O and N as those are the mappings for my Select and Start button. Any other suggestions, I hate having to reboot the Raspberrypi every time I want to exit a game and play a different game.

input_enable_hotkey_btn = “8”
input_exit_emulator_btn = “9”

Nobody has exit buttons setup on their controllers? So everyone is rebooting their raspberrypi every time they want to switch games?

I'm having the same problem. I don't use keyboard mode, but when I mapped my keys in retroarch config they said select and start were 21 and 22. It sort of works but it breaks the other buttons.

I need to do the retroarch config again without a keyboard plugged in because I think it's adding the keyboard to the button #s.
Someone who can get keyboard mode working on the controller (I can't) needs to find out what numbers start and select are.

I have keyboard mode working on the controller. I just have no way to exit the emulator. If someone could tell me how the keyboard mapping of the controller correlates to the button number, I could tell you.

You need to go into the retro pi config and setup new retroarch controller, when you're inputting the buttons it has the # next to them. But I don't understand why you're needing to reboot the pi when leaving a game, do you not have access to a keyboard?

To be able to press Select+Start hotkeys for exiting EmulationStation in all emulators, I added the following lines.

In:
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg

Add:
input_enable_hotkey_btn = 8
input_exit_emulator_btn = 11

Thanks. Didn't work for me though, I put those two lines at the very end... does it matter?

Really confused now cause when I added 21 & 22 as start and select it worked but the controls were busted. Now the controls work but the exit function doesn't.
