It would be nice if the buttons had a standard mapping format, in Windows at least, with the following:

Button name <---> Button ID number
[A] <---> Button #1
[B] <---> Button #2
[X] <---> Button #3
[Y] <---> Button #4
[L] <---> Button #5
[R] <---> Button #6
[Select] <---> Button #7
[Start] <---> Button #8

Or maybe even better, let us remap the buttons ourselves. If custom remap is not possible then just please make a standard button mapping like my suggestion above whether it's connected via bluetooth or via cable, it should have the same button map.

I want an open-source driver/firmware. I think that it would attract more technically skilled users  ...

I actually how geeks spend their money, people have bought the apple developer license (100 US dolars) just to install Mame without jailbreaking the ios device. I bough this control (NES30) intermediately after seen their features and reading some reviews, but now i think an Open Source Firmware will increase the numbers of geeks wanting this controller, and will make everyone happy that this controller can be present in more consoles than any other.

If 8bitdo team responds and say NO, I wont ask it again, but since they don't say a thing about it, let's keep repeating:

"WE WANT OPEN SOURCE FIRMWARE NOW"

Would it be possible to allow people to configure the key mapping for keyboard mode? The default keys set are not good for me, but it would be cool to be able to change these when flashing the firmware.

One suggestion I would have, would be to customize the button mapping for each mode, much like XPad, but save the mapping to the controller. This would be really helpful for iCade mode and even joystick mode. It could even be done as part of the update process.

Also, be able to remember the last mode used, so just using 'START' to power on would set the nes30 into the last mode used instead of having to remember 'Start' + 'A' for example.

"Night Mode" for NES30 Pro and FC30 Pro

It would be nice to be able to turn off the LED lights, or at least dim the blue led to the lowest value when connected. The design of the LEDs is a really nice touch during daytime.  But in dark rooms, the bright led distracts from gameplay. Another example is if I am travelling during night I could actually disturb other sleeping passengers.

A program that lets you remap keys and add macros would be super nice so you could open programs with a button.

Is there a way to change the buttons for iCade (mode 3) for iOS? The primary buttons are Start, Select, R and L which means that some games will not even use ABXY. For example Metal Slug 3 is iCade compatible but shooting requires holding down Select, which disconnects the controller if held for 3 seconds! Can the next firmware change this mapping?
[Solved]: iCade key remap now, it's more easy to use.

You controllers really need their own dongles. It's pain in the ass to connect them to Bluetooth and auto connect never works.
It will probably allow you to add some additional features that will be impossible with Bluetooth, like wireless XInput mode.And these dongles can even work with your existing controllers. Look at Dolphin Bar for WiiMote, for example.

Also, some accessories like carrying case would be a nice touch.

And please, make a phone holder for Pro controllers.

Could you please make a secondary Wii mode that reports itself as a classic controller? Some games need more buttons but I can’t use the shoulder buttons since they behave like rotation.?

It would be great if there was software that could be installed that would allow you to see what firmware version is on the NES30 controller, as well as allow you to map the buttons, or to set it as a joystick or a keyboard.

[Solved]:
1. Update tools can display firmware version.
2. Firmware 2.5 support START+R power on work as Joystick.
