I tried to upgrade the firmware on my NES30 Pro and now I have a brick that doesn't power on or charge. When I plugged the controller in after following instructions the update tool said that I already had the latest firmware (1.71). So I backed out and after unplugging my controller it is now a worthless brick. I have read multiple threads and nothing works. I held power for 8 seconds, I held it for 12 seconds, i took the cover off, checked the battery, unplugged the battery, plugged it back in, and nothing works. No lights, my computer doesn't recognize it, nothing...I need help to fix this or I just want my money back. This is turning out to be more trouble than it's worth

Try holding L+R+start combination. If the L.E.D.s flash, then you should be able to connect to a PC. If you are able to do that reinstall the latest firmware. Even if it tells you have the latest firmware install it anyway.

Had this exact same situtation and this resolved the issue. Hope this helps

@Junior1582

Has your controller worked now?

If not, you can try the following two ways to upgrade the firmware.

1.
(1) Press and hold the POWER button for more then 8 seconds.
(2) Release button.
(3) Press and hold the POWER+PAIR buttons for about 3 seconds until yellow light blinks.
(4) Plugin USB cable.
(5) Open update tools and update the firmware.

2.
(1) Take the cover off, unplugged the battery.
(2) Hold the PAIR button, at the same time, plugin the USB cable.
(3) Yellow light would blinks if no problem.
(4) Open update tools and update the firmware.

If the first way is useless, please try to second way.
In fact, the second way is more reliable, but has a bit of trouble, you have to take the cover off.

NOTE: Make sure the firwmare you upgrade is pro controller's firmware, not other controller's firmware!!!

I'm experiencing the exact same thing, only with the FC30 arcade stick.
Updated the firmware and now I have a large, unresponsive brick.

What can i do to re-install the firmware?

Updated the firmware and no ...

Because the battery of FC30 Arcade Joystick can't be unpluged, so you can only try the first way above.

(1) Press and hold the HOME button for more then 8 seconds.
(2) Release button.
(3) Press and hold the L1+R1+HOME buttons for about 3 seconds until two light blinks.
(4) Plugin USB cable.
(5) Open update tools and update the firmware.
